Fernando Monzón, CTO of everis_IoT, received the 2016 enerTIC Award for the “Water DSS” project, a solution for real time monitoring of contamination threats to drinking water.
The solution provides an economically viable way to monitor the presence of contaminants, activating the relevant alerts in case of positive detection, including recommendations for action. The main challenge was the ability to measure contamination agents. Most cannot be measured with commercial sensors, and in other cases can only be measured with equipment with a cost that is too high to allow mass deployment.
This fourth edition of the enerTIC Awards rewards and recognises professionals who have contributed toward implementing the use of the most innovative technological solutions for improving energy efficiency and sustainability in their companies and organisations. It also recognises innovative technological projects by companies and organisations committed to energy efficiency and sustainability.
