everis has created a centre of excellence for robotic process automation (RPA). From the new headquarters located in Madrid, the centre is spearheading the transformation of the RPA operations of the firm’s European and Latin American clients and will be part of the RPA and artificial intelligence ecosystem of the NTT Data group.
The RPA centre of excellence currently has a staff of 50 people but the group expects that number to increase to 150 professionals by the end of 2017. This is a multidisciplinary team composed of professionals from different areas of the company with expertise in operations transformation, change management and RPA technologies.
According to Ramón de la Rivaherrera, Head of RPA at everis, “the aim of this centre of excellence is to use RPA technology to help people and businesses be more efficient. Robots can handle the least productive administrative tasks, allowing people to focus on value added tasks and make the company more profitable.”
Francisco Noblejas, the everis partner in charge of BPO, believes that “automation is transforming the business process outsourcing (BPO) business model. The creation of this RPA centre of excellence is a response to this new reality and will be a key tool for offering our clients solutions that respond to their BPO needs in the future”.
Local knowledge, global solutions
In 2016, everis embarked on an internal transformation process, converting it into one of the leading Spanish companies in the use of the latest robotics technologies to make internal processes more efficient. This experience was essential to the ability to transfer knowledge to the consulting firm’s clients.
To this end, the new centre of excellence will export everis’ know-how and best practices at the global level, utilising the company’s capabilities for innovative thinking and excellence in the fields of RPA and artificial intelligence.
The onsite laboratory at the new centre of excellence was created to develop effective solutions using artificial intelligence that will make the operations of clients in the banking, insurance, industrial, telco and utilities sectors, among others, more efficient.
