The everis Foundation is accepting submissions for the 16th everis Awards which, once again this year, strives to foster innovation and research to support entrepreneurship, with a cash prize of 60,000 euros and a consulting services package valued at €10,000.
Contestants may come from any country in the world and must register online before March 31 at www.premioseveris.es (Spanish) or www.everisawards.com (English). Projects must fall in one of the following categories and must meet the requirements specified in the terms and conditions: Biotechnology and Health, Industrial or Energy Technologies and New Business Models in the Digital Economy.
Following an exhaustive study of all submissions to assess the level of innovation, the business model and the solution proposed by each contestant, the everis Foundation will announce the semi-finals to be held in Madrid. The selected entrepreneurs will present their projects to the other participants and to a panel of experts composed of everis executives and customers with extensive experience evaluating entrepreneurial projects.
The finalists chosen in each category will receive a package of advisory services valued at €10,000 euros designed to help the entrepreneurs develop and improve their projects. After this “mentoring” process, the everis Foundation panel of judges will select the winning project.
More than 600 projects were received in last year’s edition of the awards, including a large number from international contestants from countries like Argentina, Chile, Colombia, Mexico and Portugal. Of the six finalists, the everis 2016 award went to the Portuguese biotech company Exogenus Therapeutics and the Situm project from Galicia received a €20,000 cash prize.
